Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose College Library is an open-access library with approximately 20,000 books which includes both text and reference books. The number of the books increases every year keeping in view the changes brought in various subjects and the needs of the students and the teachers. Library is now fully computerized and also has a digital library section where every student can read digital books from various websites and has a long AC reading area. All the books are arranged according to Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) scheme and catalogued by using AACR-2R. The library is automated using KOHA, a library management software . In addition to the General Library, every department has a seminar library. The seminar library, has been built up with the aim of providing easy access of students and faculty members to books. The functioning the seminar library is totally determined by the department concerned. It is open to all students, teachers and other members of the college from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.
